"This solo exhibition feels more like a retrospective to me. The show includes works that are five years in the making and concluding with "Your Planet," which is the latest and last painting finished for the show. It covers a wide variety of subject matter, visual dialogues, problem-solving, and testing the boundaries of perception and concepts. To quote Einstein: "Play is the highest form of research." And to play with the highest level of mastery that one can achieve in whatever discipline can lead to sublime Art. That is the hope. I don't have a "way" of saying anything. Yet with each painting, there is an intentional visual idea that suggests a way of looking at the painting that is different than the next: it could be rhythm of shape movement in one painting to graphic depiction in another. It could be the optical illusion of light and space in one to the disappearance of the subject matter altogether in another. My definition for Art is that Art is a byproduct of one's search for what is true. I hope the viewer can find hints of that searching(and finding) in each painting in the show." -Quang Ho
